I just picked up my first kayak (OK T-13) from Fishing Addict today. I can't wait to try in out next weekend and see the difference between that and my inflatable tugboat of a yak.

I did learn something today, when you are backing up in the driveway, don't hit the garage door! :smt013

Now I have to delve in to the gearing up section and see what I need, I know a GTS  seat is on the list.

Congrats on the new vessel!

We should start a new thread (with pictures, of course) about dents and damage done by our kayaks....

One time I was loading my kayak on to the rook of my car, conveniently parked next to my husband's car...the kayak rolled and I lost my grip...it proceeded to bounce off the step ladder, causing the step ladder to bonk into my husband's car. The kayak was fine (haha), but there is now a dent on side above the wheel, thanks to me!

Thanks... it is nice to finally have a real yak. I know it will be a lot of fun.

About the garage door, the kayak was not harmed in that mishap. However the window in the garage door got knocked out so I had to go down the the glass shop and get a new piece. I had it installed in about an hour so it was no big deal. It turns out the glass guy is a kayaker also so I BS'd with him for a while and he gave me a break on the glass... no pun intended :smt002 There are kayakers all over the place!
