Got my first halibut it was great measured 241\4 long barely legel but still its a keeper he hit live smelt at about the 5th trash can on the wall before the "L" about 25 feet of water almost peak tide aroung 0945. when he came up to the boat I saw the hook was just through his skin on thop of his mouth I could see the entire hook so I decided there was no time to play him so I slid my net to his blind side and netted him quick the he went all crazy on me and the hook fell out but all was good he was already in the net. so I gave him a good bashing and put him on my game clip.
Side not there was about 5 boats in the area all day and at least 2 of them had butts on board(only boats that would talk to  me anyway). I saw 1 sturgeon jump and I saw several stripers suspended about 5 feet below the surface .

Weather was nice for the first few hours no wind flat water and good visability then about 11 it got hot real hot and the tide was against me paddleing back with no wind I was pooped when I got back but it was well worth it I was off the water by noon alll in all a good day.
Where did he go george

Congrats Man,

Its good to know that if you put in your time good things happen...now about those stripers, what's it going to take to put them on the game clip?

I plan to give a go on Sat.
