My friend Ang Sherpa (the Younger) and I will be drifting Sailor Bar to Sac State tomorrow.  We will meet up at 10:30 at Sailor bar for the car shuttle.

Ang is a mountaineering guide in the Himalayas and has had several successful Everest summits, but has only been in a kayak once  :smt001

We will grab some lunch afterwards (place to be determined).

All are welcome.

Sherpa is the most common family name in the Himalayan part of Nepal.  I think the rule is that if you have made multiple summits, and you are still alive then you are a good guide.

So...how was the drift?

It was fun and easy, but Ang was afraid of the water.  All of the drift boats and anglers I talk to hadn't caught a fish.  I'll post pics when I get my camera back from Jim.
