Crabbing Humboldt 1/4/13

Late report... due to nasty fall on the jetty . Great to meet Clayman and beautiful day on the water. Some dungies and a lot of red rock crabs. Lesson learned: even the most flat wet rock can be slippery. Funny part of the story, if there is one, I was the one saying, "be careful those rocks are slippery!". Healing slowly. 

Sorry to hear of the spill Dave, but good onya for getting some crab action in!

Glad to hear you didn't get hurt to badly, now sit back with a cold one and enjoy those crabs!

Great to meet ya Dave!  The crabbing was only so-so it seemed, though I was able to manage 7 legal Dungeness and a few red rocks using only 2 rings.  The crabs seemed to dig the brown trout carcasses I used as bait  .

Thanks guys... I believe my fishing time is hurt more than my body. That was the first fall since I use to jump boulders flyfishing along the small creeks above Paradise
