My cruise missile, notice the bait tube is in the water already with live shiners inside.  I have a gaff in the front,  a billy club on the console, a depth finder on the bridge and  a berkeley rod holder side mounted on the inside of my right footwell.  I normally put my uniden mystic vhf/gps in the spot where the billy club is but corrosion from saltwater got the best of the battery so its out of commision.  Best thing about this yak is that in my two hatches I have a drift shoot, flat tackle box, my lunch and an extra fishing rod.  I was worried for only a quick second about not having a rear tankwell but realized its not necessary, the depth finder is though!!  IMHO, the baddest kayak on the water! :smt066 JTF..

JTF did you beat up bluekayaka and steal his boat  :smt003

That thing is a missle!

WS redesigned the top deck to resemble the rest of the tarpon family.

At the time it was what the midwesterners, southerners, and easterners all were asking for.

Blue or anybody, do you think there are alot of folks (besides you and Mooch)  who are still looking for these older Tarpon 160's?

I think most of the people looking for the 160's are just people in the bluekayak fanclub.  :smt118 :smt005  Being serious though, the kayak does kick some butt, my only gripe is the amount of water that comes over the side directly into my seat.  I've gotten use to it though.

I was really surprised to see a majority of spearfishermen and women prefer the Scupper Pro with two hatches as opposed to the Tarpon 160 with 2 hatches. I have no idea why. I might start thinking about taking the T160 out fishing more instead of keeping as a 'loaner' to friends who want to tag along. JTF is right, it hauls @ss!!!

Yeah, you should, Tote.  It doesn't look like Wilderness systems has found an NCKA'er to sponsor yet.  http://www.wildernesssystems.com/fishing-athletes.asp
