Wanted to ask if anyone knows of any generic racks for 4 door cars, I have a malibu, chevy.

Pool noodles and ratchet straps. I've seen people use just that. Cheapest way to go I can think of.

I picked up a set of Yakina off Craigslist pretty darn cheap.  Another location I saw them used for about 1/2 or new was a place called 'Rack & Road' in San Jose.  They buy older sets from clinets looking to upgrade.  The prices are pretty close to those found on C.L. but you can sometimes hit on a C.L. DEAL that has what you need for 20-30% of new cost.  Took me about 2 weeks to find my C.L. deal.
