Only had my Kayak for about a week now but ended up getting a decent deal on a HB fish finder so i bought it and partially rigged it up today. Only thing left to do is buy a battery and install it.  I'm going to try to find a Li-ion 6000mAh+ battery at a hobby shop, if I can't find one i'll just pick up a 12v 5Ah batt from Frys.  Will most likely put it in a waterproof box or tuberware and velco it to the bottom of my yak.

Is that a DI transducer?  If so, let us know how it works shoot-thru-hull.

Curious, is there a reason there may be an issue?

Tested it out today. Worked perfectly. Showed depth, bottom structure, etc. I'll have to fine tune it a little and get used to it as it is my first fish finder.

Im using a hard case rc car 5000 3 cell LiPo battery for mine. Works great so far. Ive been thinking of gwtting the relatively new motorcycle LiPo 12v battery, around $120 and very lite.
