Scotty Offset Gears # 414 Review

The gears go in between the rod holder and the post.  It gives you a set of different fixed angles over the what you get out the box.  Its made of hard plastic that snaps on.  Not sure what if it makes a difference without first doing a field test.
Not too impressed at this time.
I got the slip disc and offset gears at Austin Kayak for 3.69 each with no shipping cost.  Its good thing I got several of the slip discs.
