Hey guys,
I am visiting Ashley's folks in Valley Springs & have some time to fish in the morning.  I've been getting over a cold & haven't yak-fish for while, so itching to get out!
They live right next to New Hogan Res., and I have been there few time w/ no success...
I think no more skiers this time of year so good time to fish, but I don't know what I am doing.
There are some other option there (Amador, Camanche, Pardee, etc...), but don't want to spend 18 bucks right now, plus I don't do much good on those lakes...

So Any input & company welcome!

Naoaki

Naoaki, come up to Lake Sonoma and steelhead fish. A pretty good sized group of us will be camping Friday/Saturday night and "hiking" during the day but the camping will be fun...hope to see you there, Alanzo

Good luck at Hogan.  If you do good, let us know what you used.  I've fished there a few times but didn't have much luck.

Oh, that sounds so fun Allen, but I'm time constrained this week... Hope to fish with you soon tho.
Yeah, if I can get anything, I will let you know Curtis.

Late start today... Fished from 8am-2pm. Got six SMB (no STB) in the coves (no hit at drop offs). 15-25ft depth. All on minnows. Didn't see much of boils.
Thought birds were diving so i paddled over there quick but turned out to be gulls chasing out a baldy...

Gonna try again tomorrow morning too.

I was in the area today.   From Hogan Dam Rd., I looked for a kayaker but did not see anyone.  How did you do?

I was there.
Another late start... Fish from 8am - 4pm.
Went to different direction towards to campground this time.  Pretty much same result. No STB. Bunch of SMB up to 16 inch plus. One small Channel just over 20 inch.
I was surprised to see that many SMB there.
