Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Greg and I am an avid kayak fisherman from San Diego. My wife and I both work for the G and are transferring up to Sacto in February 2013.  She is a Sac native. I'm from Ventura. The sport has boomed in recent years and is extremely popular in SD. I was glad to find this forum and learn there is a growing kayak fishing community in NorCal. I'm looking forward to learning how y'all do it up there. Tight lines. Greg

Welcome!!! There is a bunch of guys in the Sac area. If you are into trout and bass Sac is a great place. Its good for salt water, you just have to drive a little.

Welcome ODB!  Lots of cool dudes in the Sac area.  A little different fishing than So-Cal but there are a multitude of opportunities.

Welcome Greg.  I lived in Carsbad before moving to the East Bay and prior to that I lived in Ventura.  We had an old house above "Cemetery Park".  Welcome to NorCal and NCKA.

Welcome up north Greg, I hate to tell you but there is nothing like San Diego bay up here.  Boy do I miss fishing that place, I try to get down at least once a year to fish with the folks from fliflicker.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

We have so much water here it would take a lifetime to cover it all :smt007 Fishing can be tough but when you find the groove you can get a few. Free diving with the A-hulls in Monterrey ca. is something to put on your bucket list. Welcome to the Norcal madness :smt005 You won't want to go back :smt044
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

I moved up here little over a year ago from IB. There's nothing like SD bay or mission, but there's lots of options. Wild trout, massive lingcod, salmon, ect. Make sure to hit up a few events this year. Gimme shelter and Albion are not to be missed.
I have lots of family down in SD and I try to go south every few months, there's nothing like spotty fishing in the bays.
