Sorry to thread jack but I am just getting back into hunting and was wondering if anyone knew if shooting a turkey around Berryessa is ok. I saw a bunch around there and they looked pretty tasty.   Will make sure to get a bow soon also. Good luck out there this weekend.

This might be an old thread but I just recently got this question answered directly from the BoRec office at Berryessa.  The BoRec land immediately surrounding the lake, not just the East Shore, is off limits to hunting, even archery.  Bah!  Its about the only place I can find a turkey to try and get my son one

There is a youth only Deer and I do believe Turkey hunt at lake Sonoma. Its a raffle But I hear peoples draw rates are high and the hunting success is rate is some where aroun 90%.

Either way I hope you guys get one
