Burn advice may be infected (pics included) viewer discresion

Burnt my self with steam on sunday night 11/11 an noticed a slight tint change of the red in the center of my burn any advice would help thanks.

Don't pop blisters. Apply Silvadene Creme. Keep clean.

I have a burn oinment the doc gave me tuesday called mupirocin 2%

That's cool. Apply it and keep it clean. Looks like your wrist, try and keep your wrist from further irritation be rubbing on things.

I'm not a doctor, if you feel like your injury is not improving, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

It could be moderately infected but it really comes down to who is winning: you or the infection.  You can take a ball point pen and define the boarder of the red area.  This way if the infection is getting bigger you know you might want to go to the doctor, but if it doesn't cross the line you're on the mend.  If that's green pus though I'd get that thing cleaned out real good. 

burns create indefinite damage, so the "halo" around it actually looks pretty typical to me.  It looks like damaged sub Q tissue.  Keep an eye on it... keep it clean. 

I slept with a bunch of oinment on it last night wih goz an it looks alot better this am

ive had alot of burns in my career, for a steam burn, that doesnt look bad at all, keep it dry and covered with ointment and gauze and try not to rub it, you will have some discoloration for a long time, but chicks dig scars , cameron
