Gonna launch at glory hole in the am,and head to angels creek inlet if the trout arent hitting the big cats will be.Its about 5 miles each way and its gonna be cold so there shouldn't be many boats. :smt006  :fish

The ramp on the right before you get to G hole is closer. It is Angels Cove ramp. Should cut quite a bit off of the paddle/pedal

That ramp is only 3 1/2 mile away but its out of the water. The lower ramp at the marina is where you have to launch from.

There are some small 4-5lb cats at the ramps at tuttle town and they just dropped some small planters there. The bass are chasing the planters so you might try a 8"ish trout swim bait over in that area. :smt002

OK maybe a dumb question. As I sit here at work on Turkey Day I see this post and take a look.  I've never been to New Melones but when checking it out on Google maps I see a parking lot at the end of Angel Creek access Rd.  Looks like a trail to the water there that one might be able to get a yak down.

It is however just a pic on a computer screen, Any info on that spot?  Rough? steep? just not doable?

I'm on Google Earth and it looks like directly accross the road from the restrooms at the Buck Brush parking area there is a trail that leads straight down to the water, look like about 90 yards with about a 50 ft drop over that distance.

This link should open a map looking right at the spot I'm talking about.   Again, just a satellite photo, being there may be a whole different story.
