Comercial Fisherman.

Maybe someone was referring to a 6"er?

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Either a commercial size crab or a commercial fisherman.

Either a commercial size crab or a commercial fisherman.

I figured it was a commercial fisherman, but when I read a post using that term it wasn't the right context.
Commercial sized crab makes sense that particular post now.
So either apply. Thanks for the clarification.

As a part time commercial fisherman, I prefer the term "comm", unless of course you are referring to my political leanings ..

I don't think Sharky is trying to out do you dude. I think he's just trying to clarify the meaning of the word. In this case I think people should know it is not how most commercial fisherman want to be addressed.

I've always heard of crabs and salmon being divided into sport grade and commercial grade because the size limits are different for the two. Sport size is 5 3/4 and 24" respectively and commercial sized is 6" and 26" I think. Any crab that is closer to 7" is a jumbo to me but I'm not sure what the official size of jumbo is.

Sorry Eliot.... this is an inside joke between Sharky and I... :smt044 but he is not allowed to speak of it...

But he is right, the some of the Commercial fishermen prefer Comms, to Commies; it's just an old habit for me to break....
