USMC Rat Boots

Saw this ad , looks like a great deal. Just don't need any boots right now.

Nothing about those boots suggest to me they are worth $299.  I went to Bates Website and the most expensive USMC boot was $214.  Now with that hard rubber sole nothing would make me buy those.  I have a closet full of desert issue boots and they are not that comfortable.  A lot of people have spent their money on the aftermarket Desert shoes with different soles better suited for support and comfort then that ancient rock hard vibram sole.  Most issue boots are never comfortable, no matter how old they get.
