On another forum same players are distributing a petition to make that Cove a no take area. I have dove many areas of Puget Sound and have seen more octopus than crabs. The bad thing is here in NorCal there's a dive club that has some like minded people of the Peta Nazi persuasion where a do not touch anything rule rules.

Yeah. I see the area as yet another preserved no-take zone in the future. That sucks.

Hahahaha, I guess the scuba diving sissies should get an actual marine park so they don't have to be all offended when they see someone catch an octopus while legally sport fishing. Seriously how many of those divers do you think are vegetarians.

I hope in all the diver who made the internet attack on the kid. Gets what is coming to him. He talks about pictures on the kids face book page. But doesn't mention if the kid saved them or shared them from another site. I have pictures on My face book page just because I made a comment on them.

Wow apparently I had some time to kill. :smt044

I think the kid should announce his next octo hunting session and go back with a go-pro and document all of the turds giving him crap. Also a FNG investigation? Really? :smt011 Apparently the wardens in WA have little else to do.

But seriously people in the PNW must have a crazy amount time on their hands to be worried about this non-issue. Ohhh the morality.

In California its against the law to harass or impede a hunter while he is in the field. Not sure if its the same for fishing...perhaps it should be. I believe these battles belong in the courtroom, not out in the field/ocean...

In Alaska I have caught 4 of these suckers on accident. All went to the seasons bait for the boat. I actually got two in one day. I hate doing this to them, but halibut love them, so next time I get one back to the depths it goes.
