AOTY Welcome & Overview article

IMO, charging for membership is not cool. Bill, the original founder was always against this.

*we used to have the biggest fish award on the AOTY. The angler with the biggest fish of each specie should get an award. This will give an angler who can't fish every weekend (or can't make/afford long drives) a chance for some well deserved recognition.

*I also think that each fish that is caught and released should get extra point(s) - to promote catch and release.

is it possible to have link for 2013 AOTY registration ? right now AOTY site link to PayPal shows as 2012 registration.

Mooch - for 2011 we awarded a plaque for the biggest fish in each of the 20 categories, in addition to plaques for 1st-10th in overall AOTY.  I agree with you, I think having recognition for biggest fish in each category adds more options for fun.
