I was using Google Earth to check out the area above Ancil Hoffman that will be closed to Salmon fishing on October 31st.  While scanning the area below the hatchery I noticed a bunch of dots systematically placed along the rivers edge.  When I zoomed in I saw it was the combat fishing guys lined up salmon fishing.  Looking down at the picture date it showed 2012.  Cool, it was from the last couple of months.  I then scanned down to the Watt and Howe sections to see if I might have happened to be on the water at that time or possible someone I knew.  Surprisingly, while there were a hundred or so people up at the hatchery, there is only one kayak in the whole Howe/Watt area.  Even the Sac State J st area is empty.  The kayak is right next to the Howe Island south side.  It looks to be a gray or possibly white sit on top.  It could be a rec kayaker, but maybe someone can identify themselves by the yak or the vehicles in the parking lot.  I think that would have been really cool if it was me but no green yak or grape colored car in the lot.

The DFG fish counters are in the sand color tridents now.... their old color scheme use to be the dark green prowler 13's.

From the picture though it looks like it is a tandem kayak by the two dark shadows.

You can almost see the paddler in the rear has his/her blade back on the left arm extend.  Chances are the right blade is blending with the kayak color.
