I am putting money aside for a new drysuit and just found out Kokatat is discontinuing their T3 Angler drysuit.  There will be 3 new colors; Mango, Navy Blue and Canvas. MSRP is $605.  I am waiting for the new product release.

I was inquiring with OutdoorPlay.com and got this reply:
They are changing the materials in the production of all the non-Gore Tex suits. Kokatat is going to make the Hydrus 3L their new house material for dry suits and some tops as well. This new material is going to be a stronger and yet more breathable material. They are supposed to have the first round of suits done in December but those will be the Meridians, not sure how soon after the Anglers will be ready but I would think sometime by the first of the year.

Pat - I am sure you can resell your drysuit although I am not a big fan of their yellow color.  Makes you Look like a Star Trek actor.  :smt002
Yeah I got dinged on my Go Pro2 too.

I found this about the Hydrus material: http://kokatatpr.blogspot.com/2012/06/hydrus-3l-meridian-dry-suit.html

It's a marketing tactic.  I would bet a user wouldn't be able to discern the difference between the old and the new.  Shop for your best value and use the extra money for other fishing equipment.  IMHO and all that....

I agree with you about the yellow I wish I would have gotten the darker color but I was thinking safety at the time I guess I will have to stay big and bright :toothy4:.

I did the same thing.  Now I just throw a nylon camo wind breaker/hoodie on over it.  Keeps the outside clean from fish and bait juice and the hoodie keeps the wet off my head and neck.

Speaking of drysuits, If I had one I won't wear it while crabbing.  I have a a few cuts on my FJ wetsuit when a couple of dungies grabbed my thighs before I could put them away.

I love my Kokotat paddle suit. I got it blue but the yellow looks good to me. Karen got me a star trek pin.  :smt044
