Thanks to Ravensblack, I am the proud owner of a Necky Kyook SIS.  The price was right,a nd she paddled great. rudder deployed kind of stifly but we got out of its  bracket okay.

I had wanted a SIS for some time since I went kayaking with my cousin up in Booth Bay ME, back in 2006.  Best therapeutic paddle I have ever taken hands down.  Booth Bay was flat as could be the weather was cool and there was still foliage on the trees.  Everything was a bright orange and red.  Not  another boat near us for the three hours we were out there.  Water is unbelievably clear.  Wish I had some pics to share with you guys. I like CA, but there is nothing like New England in the fall, I just can't explain it, you have to see it to believe it.

Back to the Kyook, paddled out of harbor in Petaluma for a little while, saw a guy catch a striper off the bank, and then headed back in.  Saw this guy with the coolest aluminum boat.  It was maybe a 12-13 foot  1958 boat painted red white and blue, had a small 10 horse johnson on it, but it had a steering whee and dashl on it (Factory).  He had it for sale and was asking $1500.  The boat had been restored and looked to be in great shape.  If I had the space to put it somewhere it might have gone home with us.

Craig thanks for the boat, i think it has found a good home!
