Rei GoPro Hero2

GoPro Hero3 just came out last night! My 3 GoPro Hero2, which are less then a year old, are now OLD!

The Hero 3 Silver is comparable to the Hero 2, but with the Wifi included.  If you buy a Hero 2 at $200 and buy a wifi bacpac, you are at the $299 price of the Hero 3 Silver.

IMO, if you guys aren't in a hurry try to wait after SEMA or if you know a friend going to SEMA, tell them to go by their booth.

At last year's SEMA, GoPro gave out coupons for HERO 2 Motorsport for $199.99 ($100 off and it just came out!!!). Each coupon was good for 4 GoPros.

I bought 4 GoPros and I realized I needed memory cards x 3, different housing (waist housing for snowboarding), chest mount, mtb bike helmet strap, LCD screen, extra batteries, etc so I sold one and used that money to buy the accessories.

I decided not to go this year but I have a few friends going this year so I will report back.

Amazon has hero 2's for $199 right now

If they are anything like Apple ... the 4 should be out in a few months.

Can I return one I bought last April?  Sucks, no price appreciation on these things. 

do you have all the stuff (box, accessories)? Give it a shot. I once took back something that was 5 yrs old. Granted I had the tags on it and it had never been used. REI has an awesome (no questions asked) return policy

WalMart & Costco have a good warranty also.  My trick for the WalMart one ... wait till after Christmas to make ANY return made during the year.  The LAST thing they want with a long line is any sort of confrontation.   

Costco has the hero 2 with WiFi pack and hermet mount for 199.00.

Also, consider your current computer! These things are data hog!! In two months of owning my GoPros, I took up 750+ GB of hard drive space.
