Del Valle 6-11

Well after being totaly pissed about op I had to get my fix so I went to del valle and wanted to try a new spot around the corner from badger cove
did well nothing spectaculer a bunch of young bass in that area to about 12 inches the trout seem to have went alot deper than I was prepaired to go for. in total I think it was 4 large mouth and 1 smallie 0 trout and off the water by 830 after ariveing at 6. my digie camera is broken sorry for no pics.

I was itching to give Del Valle another try... my last trip there left me with an empty feeling inside. I was planning to hit it on Saturday but, my boys wouldn't get up early enough. So, we headed to Calero instead. We did about the same as you did... lots of small bass and a ton of blue gill. I want to hit DV again though... How was the wind and the water? A couple of weekends again, it was windy as heck the water was stained... really stained.

freddie the wind was nasty but manageable plus in delvalle there is always a place to hide from it water was pretty clear but boat traffic was pretty heavy if you want to go sometime shoot me a pm and Ill show you some good spots

Hey James, don't feel bad, I got killed by the American river and fly fisherman on Sunday. I am thinking of hitting Berkeley Wendsday morning, Got to get a Halabut over 8"

We Floated the south end Sat. for a dozen smallish bass each and a BIG CRAPPIE!
This lake is definately on summer pattern now.
HINT; Try those plastic things on the steep walls and that purple one deep (again). Cats and sunfish are stirring if you get bored or have the little guy with you.
