Did a solo trip to the West Carson on Sunday Sept. 30.  Beautiful day with afternoon temps in the low 70's, am temp when I first arrived at o'dark thirty was 32.  Aspen trees are changing color and the fishing was HOT....HOT.........HOT!  Ended up catching and releasing 66 in the same spot.  4 or 5 were Alpine County planters which went 3 to 5 lbs. and the rest were DFG stockers 10 to 12".  The DFG planters would jump almost all the way across the pool and then make multiple jumps.  I caught about half the rainbows on Micro-lite spinning gear and the other half on 2 wt. fly gear.  One bow that would have gone 3 to 5 lbs. snapped me off on the 2 wt. after I managed to fight it around 5 minutes.  Had one rude dude arrive and set up and start fishing directly across from me in the same hole.   :smt013

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I am sure I caught a few multiple times, it was not until late in the day that they finally realized the strange looking bugs might not be good to eat!   :smt003
DFG did a hellacious plant, there were a LOT of fish in that area and there are still a LOT of fish there.
