Hi folks,
Not sure if this is the "right" spot for this post.....but it's worth a try!

I have a paddle that is stuck - carbon with a push-button mechanism. I have tried PD Buster, I have tried prying it...it's not budging. Any ideas on how to get it apart?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

BTDT.  It was a PITA but after many squirts of WD40, it took a vise and some cuss words to finally pull the 2 apart.  Once I had one end secured in vise (Not to point of crushing the thing!) I was able to "Wiggle" and finally get some movement.  Once I had that tiny movement it was over I simply continued to work it untill "POP" it freed.
A little polishing of both ends with fine emery cloth (The shaft is Aluminum) and separating the parts after each use has prevented a relaps.

I figured I should post what happened here as well, just in case someone comes across this thread at some point....

I followed the other link and came across someone else who was having the same problem. I was able to do one of the recommended techniques and it worked! Here it is:

"I just had the same problem with my paddle....used a phillips to "pry" it apart slightly, sprayed it with PD Blaster and let it sit for a few days, used the heat method on the female end, cold on the male end....no luck. I pushed the button so hard it broke (now I have to get a new one of those, uggg).

'Read about the pulling and hitting the ferrule with a closed fist....I was concerned about trying it, but....IT WORKED! It was only me (and I was desperate) so I roped one end of the paddle to my tow hitch, I pulled on the other end with all my might and pounded the ferrule with my fist. To my amazement, it was coming further apart with each hit. When the paddle finally come completely apart, I could see that none of the PD Blaster had soaked down and reached the internal sections".
