i have a brand new pa12 just sitting on my trailer gathering dust.so with my rod holder and ff installed i thought id grab the hose and spray the dust off the pa.then i pulled my hatch liner and saw the little puddle of water.im wondering if its condensation or do i have a leak?i started feeling around no where else has water so its not condensation.then i remember reading a tread on the hobie forum where someone said after the rain there was a puddle in there hull.so i grab a bottle of water and started pouring it around the front where the rod holders and mast tube.then i started seeing the puddle form.low and behold its leaking from the hull off the mast tube.not the mast tube itself but the hole.so i was thinking marine goop?then i remember i have some teflon tape so i wrap the tread of the mast tube and re tighten it.grab a bottle of water and started pouring it on the mast tube area no water beading down the pipe problem solved.i dont know if hobie knows about this but a rubber o ring would be better than teflon tape but no time to go to the hardware store
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
