Kmiles and I are going out on the river Sat morn for some striper action. Launch around 8am under hwy37 to fish the outgoing tide. Any and everyone is welcome to join.

Yup gonna drag some Rat-L-traps. hopefully hook some stripers

I used to surf cast fishing for strippers along the Fort Funston to Daly City ocean beach front between July and Sept with hairraisers by following the birds diving on the bait fish, we have to run hard to follow fast moving baits.  Quite an exercise and lots of fun.  But not much action these past 4 years, rarely seen any large school of baits and birds - I fly hang gliders there for almost 30 years - sometimes landed the glider, put my wetsuit on and run down the beach go after the strippers.

Wondering the kind of setup you guys are using ?  Cast out and reel back ? Would love to try there someday with you guys.

i got both spinning and baitcaster. I like to use Rat-L-traps, diving crank baits, and sometimes bucktails. i have only bait fished at black point. I usually troll upper drawbridge closer to petaluma marina.
