Best way to rig Kwikfish for salmon from bank?

Hey all,

Looking for some advice on how to rig a Kwikfish for salmon fishing from a bank. Will attaching a weight to the end of my mainline and having the lure on a slider work? I would cast just the mainline with weight out first then slide the kfish with leader onto the mainline and slowly work it out. Any idea if this will work?

There is a guy who does that up at the basin on the shallow side.
He uses the sliding rig with a pyramid weight. Once he has castes as far as he can he will walk the kfish down and out.

He hooks em, it should work!

Thanks. I guess i'll give it a shot. The only thing is i wont be able to walk ot down the mainline far cause it gets deep quick. Im hoping the current gets a hold of it.

We use that idea very successfully at KL , kwikfish walks down the line easily. I use a paper clip and a bead contraption to keep the lure down once it gets there . Will post a pic of this later , dont want to wake the family this earl looking for one in the garage ( my quiet time ) .                                                                                      I used a large paperclip to make this , never had one fail or even bend much . Tie your line to the tag end and about a 2.5-3' on the other to your sinker . Use 3-4' leader with a large enough swivel/snap to slide past the tag . The tag keeps the lure from coming back up your line when fish is hooked , no real effort in getting this set , just clip the lure leader to your main line , it will slide down to where it should be .

The best way to rig a quickfish from the bank is by launching your kayak from the bank with your quickfish.

That area ranges from 15-28 ft (if I remember correctly), a quickfish will not get down that far, but you can get a maglip down past 15ft with the current in the sac with a slow retrieve.

Yes!  This rig works.
