Going to be in the Yuba city area for day trip with the family.  Are there waterways/irrigation canals I can wet a line for catfish, or any fish?

Thanks,
Nate

I haven't been to the Bypass in years. I recall big Crappies and Bass live there.

Can someone refresh my memory on how to get to the Bypass.

If you come up 99 north you can get there  at Sacramento ave, or farther up to Bogue or Lincoln, Franklin and head west  or hit high way 20 west will all get you to the Bypass.

It's Oswald road, not Bogue or Lincoln. Franklin is correct though. Also, when heading west on 20 when you get to the Sutter turn off make a left and follow it to the levee ahead. Drive up on levee and head south along levee top.

Although Bogue and Lincoln do not run straight into the Bypass ,if you drive west you cant miss seeing the trees and levee ,i only fished  the Bypass since i was 14. Lived on Lincoln for several years. hoping to get a kayak  and get into some of the out of the way places that are not  fished a lot.

Didn't end up going to Yuba city.  We ended up in Colusa.  Didn't fish, just threw sticks for the dog to chase.  Still fun day.

I haven't caught  many crappie out there, but i really didnt fish for them, the few i have caught were on spinners or minnows and were not even close to 14 inches. The two biggest crappies i have ever  saw were  both  weighed at 4lbs and 4.4 lbs and i dont think either one of those were 14 inches long,

I might be heading to Yuba City today I'm tempted to swing by and fish from the shore.
