those of you that live close to the area might want to check it out.i ran into a buddy and he was telling me they were out on his friend's boat.they was bait fishing for a few hours and hook up only twice.then they started trolling and it was none stop action.with the biggest 30lbs
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

What were they trolling? It's hard to troll at striper speed in a yak.

they were pulling brokenback minnow plugs.like rebels in bright colors.im sure if you could locate the school any type of baitfish lure would work.if i was to go tomorrow i would bring rattle traps, swimbaits and a few of the brokenbacks.also a few super spooks if im lucky enough to find them bustin the baitfish on the surface.my.02

Heads up on lures , use a Rattle Trap ( silver/blue has worked best for me ) and get in close to shore , you want your lure to touch bottom on occasion . Never caught a 30 pounder like this but plenty of keepers up to 10-12 lbs.  :smt006

In the wind, I'll soak live bait. When the weather is nice, I'll toss plugs until my arm falls off. And it looks like this week is going to be windy...
