Well since my last sail when I found I had about a gallon of water in my hull I have been busy looking for the leak. First I filled the hull part way with water and let stand for 2 hours, found nothing. Then started looking at all the hatches, the only thing I found was the front hatchet seal was not glued on, water could have gotten in that way, went  ahead and resealed the front seal. After the front hatchet dried I gave all the hatchets the spray down water test. The two 8” hatchets and the front hatchet did not leak a drop. What does leak badly are the up down ruder lines, check out the pics. Would any one have any ides on how I can fix this, it seams the lines are carving out the guidelines making them larger.

How about taking some foam and cutting a block big enough to cover the two holes, and cut slits for the lines to exit through, silicon the block in front of the 2 lines.   I think this will at least stop any splashed water from getting to the 2 openings, at best slow the water down.

Pat... I think you're worrying yourself needlessly.  Those plastic rudder line housings are sealed and run through out your boat to make water intrusion at the point very unlikely.  If you want to see if your hull is leaking take it on lake (where no water is splashing over the hatches ) and see how much water you get in the hull.

The hatch spray test you just did will not duplicate what you experienced that rough day on the bay when your boat was submarining for hours and hours while your weight and other forces where flexing your boat like a big squeeze bottle.

I'll be happy to check out your boat for you if you wanna meet.
