Camped at Woods Lake this weekend, got to paddle around yesterday and hiked into the Mokelumne Wilderness today and threw a few casts for a few takers, Cora reeled them in like a champ, it was great to hear, "Dad catch another one so I can reel it in, OK, bam!"

FYI: this is a great place to camp and about 7 miles from Silver Lake, only drawback is no reservations, first come first serve

That is so cool. I used to pack my little girl, now 29, around with me when she was that age. Good Dad. She will love you for it.

Your daughters cute. Looks happy too. Do you paddle with her. Mine used to fall a sleep while I fished on the front of my kayak early in the morning.

Its the perfect hike, sign says 1.5 miles but I think it's
Really under 1 mile from the woods lake trail head, easy climb and awesome views! There are several loops you can do in the area as well

It's funny, all the campsites have bear lockers but regular old trash cans, So you wonder - bear problem or no bear problem, scariest critter was the thieving stellar jays and two-legged varmin of course!

Thanks Andy! She actually stayed awake this time, pdf was probably too loose! No swaddle effect!
Here's some from Woods Lake the day before, lots of fingerlings, stocked recently I was told.
