Need recommendations for Aluminum 18ft center console semi v-hull.

Work boat including dropping gill nets, surveys, hook and line sampling  , run-between for multi boat projects.
Tow vehicle: Dodge Ram 5.7 liter.

Fiberglass or Aluminum?

I think an aluminum hull center-console boat would be best for your application; and maybe one with a jet prop on the motor. It will allow you to take the alluminum boat in 5" of water; however, you will lose about 25% of your horsepower when you install the lower end jet prop.

But they are the bomb for river runs!

Ahhhh....Govt. boat, I wouldn't bother with glass or off the floor recreational boats......they'll get beat to hell. 

With no price range I'd look at Black Lab or pacific skiff. All welded 3/8 plate aluminum boats.  Built to spec so you can configure them however you want.

Try Waterman Welding in Kanab Utah. They have been building custom research work boats for Federal and state wildlife agencies for years. I have purchased several boats from them for my field work. All welded aluminum. You can get any gauge aluminum and any features you want. My current netting boat is 17 feet, right side stand up console, super heavy gauge aluminum, modified v hull, with a huge diamond deck and completely open floor for working. Built like a frying pan. Their prices are comparable to the mass produced models. Trust me, you can't find a better work boat. They are bulletproof. Here's a link
