Went to visit my Niece who just had a baby. On my way to her place, I saw this lake and wondered if anyone from NCKA has fished this lake????

*was thinking of taking my SUP there and do a scouting trip.

I grew up riding my bike to fish that place. It's a world class Carp fishery man. Monsters in there! A crank bait along the edge of the lake can produce the occasional LMB. I've always focused on fishing for Catfish though. Some good cats in there. We used to catch them and trade them to the guy at Round Table for pizza! There is a crazy variety of fish in there, I've heard stores of Pacu and all kinds of released pets. I one saw a guy pull out giant goldfish.
Here is where we used to do damage on the kitties
I saw a guy pull a huge LMB out from under the dock once. I've never been out on the water, just shore fished it. Good luck if you SUP it, that's some nasty water man! Take care Joel, hopefully I'll see you around soon!

Thanks for the intel Jeff. I figure I'll scout it from the shore for now. The water did look pretty bad. Saw a lot of dog walkers along the path - might as well bring Killer Kylo with me.

like most city ponds.. it's duck poop soup.  I've caught a few good 3-4 lb LMBs and seen a couple of them giant Carps.

this is what can come out of that pea soup..

Used to fish it in my early years...  over 3 decades...  :smt012

we even created structure in some parts of the lake, probably gone now, or the best area holding...

the LMBs used to hang next to the shore ambushing from the 4x4's... loved to dead stick floating broken back rapalas...

good luck, and ya, can only imagine what would happen to ya if ya took a dip in that water,,,

Twice a year they net off the back cove and stock it for a kids fishing day. Some times trout some times catfish. The next one should be coming up soon.

I fished there today and got skunked. There were a lot of small fish jumping and feeding but none of them were of hook-able size.
