I had to call around to 9 pharmacy's before I finally found one that can 'compound' me some pills. 20 pills for $48! They will take another week to be ready though so I hope wx is good for Albion and not like it was 2 years ago.  :smt005  I guess the manufacturer only makes the patch form of the drug anymore? I usually don't take anything but it's best to be prepared for the worst case conditions. I just wish I had ordered these pills sooner so I had them in time.  :smt013

Im on hold now "researching" the possibility of a Pharmacy compounding some for me  :smt120

So I found a place in Berkeley Abbots compounding Pharm. that will do it for around 100 bucks. Plus what ever the prescription costs I guess. seemed a little pricey compared to Jims people but hey, I gotta have my scopes. Let me know if you know of any other way?

Compounding is pricey. It's like old-school pharmacy stuff.
My dog is on meds and the specific dose means I can't give her just a capsule. I have to take the capsule apart each night & give her 7 of 10 milligrams. PITA. I have to cut it in lines. not that i know how to do that or anything....

I got 4 patches from Kaiser at $50.00 two years ago for a dive trip to the channel Islands. Couldn't go on the trip because of a blown engine. Been using them on kayak local trips. They expire at the end of the year. Work great put them on the night before, and don't have to think about it. Best part is that they last three days.

"Kwells" (Bayer Healthcare) is available OTC and online in OZ (ePharmacy - Kwells Travel Sickness Tablets 10), but some other countries require a prescription, e.g., the UK.

That particular product is not marketed in the USA and medical hyoscine hydrobromide requires a prescription here.

The patches are great for extended trips, but for last minute trips, the pills work best for me to get the drug in an out of your system quick.  For day trips, I usually take a pill just before hitting the surf and I'm good till I hit land.

The drug scopalamine is still available to pharmacists. :smt003

I went to my local "compounding pharmacist " across the street and he can make gel caps or sublingual or even chewable gummy bear or butterfly scopace for me. :toothy4:

I just have to have the Doc sent the prescription over to him.
Looks like there are options out there if you're willing to pay the price.

Is there no better alternative to scopace pills or scopalamine patches???
I'm still bummed the pills were discontinued.
