Suit Search

Just got the new suit in the mail yesterday.  It looks freakin awesome, and far better quality than my old scuba suit.  I can't wait to try it out!  I also ordered a bottle of "suit slip" since it was pretty cheap with the purchase of a wetsuit.  Funny thing is I had everything shipped from Mako on the east coast, all the way out here to Santa Rosa, and the suit slip is made IN Santa Rosa!  Small world...  Thanks for all the recommendations everyone!  I'll update when I actually have a chance to try the new suit out!  -=Brian=-

Ah, the mako suit says the farmer john pants double the thickness in the torso...  Back to the old question; 5mm or 7mm?

1. The neoprene compresses over time, especially along the sides.
2. You could always cut the top of the farmer john off if you get too warm or want to take a dump more easily.
3. You could always let some water in to cool down if you get too warm.

I agree with Rick.  Especially on the number 2.  I bought a suit with high waisted pants so I could relieve myself on the kayak.  I hate swimming in cold pee.  And if you have to pull the pants down you don't have to remove the top to do so.
