Anyone know of any good tackle/bait shops around the east bay? walmart and big5 kinda sucks.

Depends on what kinda bait.you looking for lures,worms,baitfish,etc.I go to waltons pond in sanleandro off of Washington.I get my lmb tackle he has some frozen squid and anchovies you know freezer stuff.got crawlers and reds also.he's got some lures for rock fishing and trout and salmon but mainly a bass shop.for blood worms and such I go to Oakland bait on international between 23rd and 24th ave hope this helps
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

This isn't exactly East Bay but if you are ever heading south on 101 past/thru San Jose/Morgan Hill, there is Coyote Bait & Tackle just off Hwy 101 near the Coyote Creek Golf Course.  Live & Frozen bait of ALL sorts!

Best all around tackle shop is Outdoor Pro Shop in oakland. They also have a branch in cotati i believe. They have EVERYTHING (except live bait as far as i remember).
Guys there are super friendly and know their shit too.
