Don't Forget to Register your VHF to your MMSI number

It's a nice feature but if you have a hand held gps, combo FF/gps, or both you can just call out your #'s to the CG on ch16 or on any other channel you can get the most immediate response on. What I'm considering getting is a second vhf radio. Having two gps has got me thinking that redundancy is nice. I've had my vhf battery go dead OTW before.
