dude, thats just too far with the spinal cord!  I guess I found out what I cant eat besides roundworms and flatworms....  maybe its the deep fear I have of prions...

the heads tho, YUM!

What a coincidence......   Laura found a great Sheepshead spinal cord recipe on her Pinterest yesterday.   NOT!   You are too hard core.  Stomach contents, spines, god knows what else.   Good thing there is very little road kill in Watsonville.  You have gone far enough, you win.   You are the most hardcore eater here.

Ana and I really enjoyed the Sheephead! We coated it in egg and Zatarains fishfry and then cooked it in a cast iron skillet until golden brown and topped it with some sauteed veggies.

The crisp of the Zatarains really highlighted the delicate deliciousness of the meat! Yes, softer than say a Ling or a Cab, but NOT mushy like a perch. Ana is pretty picky and tells me not to bother bringing perch or greenlings home, but she told me to blast away if I come across another Sheephead.
