looks like we will be crossing the border on July 26 headed to Los Barriles. If you'd like to caravan, PM me.

We'll be staying 1st night in Guerrero Negro, then Loreto, then Los Barriles for 2 weeks!!

Sounds tempting. Just got back last week from two weeks in Baja.

How often do you caravan down to the Eastcape? I have another vacation at the end of August and I was thinking of driving down there.

I obviously can't make it this trip but am interested in future ventures. Did it once about 14 years ago but only as far as Mulege.

I'm still unwinding from my first 2,500 mile round trip to Loreto BCS.  It was an adventure just getting there and back.  I'll be prepared for the next one for sure.  Be sure to fuel up when possible.  The long drive between Santa Rosario to Guerro Negro took me from a full tank to the red line between gas stops.  Needless to say, it was a bit un-nerving.

Be safe and have a blast!!!

I'm still giggling lie a school girl over that red line fuel situation...

Las jardines in San quintin is an awesome stop, and makes lore to simple the next day.

I love the East Cape. So pristine and quiet. Would love to go back and nail another big tuna. Last one almost got the best of me with a one hour fight to the death (mine!). Got him to the gaff and had him for dinner that night. Nothing beats fresh shashimi! :smt003
