Where theres smoke....

Smoke and fire up I80 corridor.... We are OK in Weimar. Fire burning in an unpopulated area... They are optimistic that it will be out before to long... 

Lots of new fires in nor-cal
new one up here in the trinity river area.

I spent 2 summers during my college years (77,78)  as a BLM tanker crew member.
Any other ex or current wildland firefighters out there?

Thanks for keepn us posted.  I can scrub the trip no problem just hope it doesn't affect any populated areas.

Here's a link to get updated info on all CA wildfires.  I posted this buried in a recent fishing report, but probably better here.  Good site to track fire progress of wildfires and fire-fighting status. Going to be an interesting rest of the fire season here in CA.

Is that near Gold Run? My mother in law owns 40 acres up there and she just recently got her fifth wheel up there.

About 10 miles from fire. Shouldn't be a  problem. Would have to be catasrophic to go that far.last fire in our area was 3000+ acres. This one is hopefully going to stop before that. Mostly canyon area burning.  Lightly populated area fire crews saving homes and inferstucture letting fire burn in inacessable areas. The big air tankers are hitting it now. With any luck will be out soon
