The beat up and scarred look is interesting, what would do that to a 14 ft shark I wonder. I'd be a little nervous in the water, injured predators tend to go after easier prey

Most of those battle scars happen while they are just wee sharks and are low enough on the food chain to be attacked by larger sharks or encounter damage while attaching prey in areas such as the Farallon Islands.
