Nice park for hiking too!  GF and I have hiked there in the past.

is this a hint? if so, just post a hookup... we'll follow; even if we don't want to fish in the landlords front yard!!!

Butano is a great little park, might be hard to get a spot in the busy summer season.  Butano is inland about 5 miles or so, it is usually warmer then right on the coast.  There is a county park a few miles down the road too, forgot the name of it now.  The county park has a river that goes through it with a great swimming hole.  Watch out for ticks if you go hiking through Butano's trails!  The trail that starts from the check in kiosk goes straight up to a great spot that you can see to Ano Nuevo with great views. 

Had to do some work at the Honor camp very close too Butano. Co-worker and I were sitting at a picnic table when a racoon tried to sexually molest him. You should have heard him scream!   

The racoons will get up on top of the picnic tables while you are sitting there - no joke

I like cute furry raccoons! May have to check this place out.

We arrived at Butano at night a few years ago and started setting up camp, I had put a box of unopened vanilla wafers on the picnic table and it was just light enough that I could see the box jump off the table, found a flashlight and a huge racoon was trying to run off with the box of cookies!  I have a picture somewhere of a racoon that jumped on the seat of the table and helped himself to someone's plate of hot dogs and chips, the person got up to get a soda and when he came back the racoon was sitting there like a person would eating a hot dog. 
Steph, if you like racoons the area around Point Arena lighthouse is over run by them.  We could not even open the front door of the lighthouse keeper homes because there would be 4 or 5 racoons right there begging for handouts, I could not even close the door because they had their hands reaching inside!  They are worse then the bible thumpers that come around on bicycles and want to come in the house and talk to ya!

Thanks atavuss for the tip. Looks like I'll be checking out Point Arena lighthouse!lol  I'll just makes sure to hide my snacks real good!
