Any suggestions on activities? We are heading up for the weekend. I will have the two kids, wife and dog with me so the yak ain't going. I am sure we can find some stuff to do but always open to any "out of the norm" stuff

I would say go out to the Lighthouse and Life Boat Station but don't think dogs are allowed but you can take the pooch to Limantour Beach. Bodega Head has a great view might see a whale. I think the Bodega Lab is open to the public on Friday. The drive out to Pierce Ranch is pretty cool lot of Elk and great trail out to Tomale Point or Short Trail to McLures Beach. Lawson's Landing lots of dunes is pretty cool but you will just want to fish. The Beach at Bolinas in cool and you can look for Agates. Aah Olema.  I have fond memories of that place.  There is plenty to do in the area.  Stinson Beach isn't too far.  Just follow Highway 1 south and you can't miss it.  There is a lot of hiking in the area.  Check out bahiker.com for the local trails.  The bear valley trail would be great for a family hike but dogs aren't allowed.  The only restaurant in Olema has great fish & chips.
