Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve

This is one of my favorite hiking areas in the bay area.  Just outside Half Moon Bay, (turn on Higgins Canyon Road on the outskirts of town, by the fire station on the south side of the city).  This trail has a small parking lot, but the trails  run along Purisima Creek, which is you look hard you can see small rainbows/steelies (no fishing in the park).  The trails meander through second growth Redwoods.  GF and I always bring a lunch, and if there was one place to hike and short on time for visitors this would be it.   I would of posted pics but my SD card in my phone crapped out on me.  This one is a gem and well worth the time to check out!
