I may join you. The weather has not been the best this week. If the swell and wind is still up I am going to pass.  The Hali's don't seem to like a swell. I don't know if they move out deeper or are just not active in a swell.

Hali s are definitely off during a swell. I think silt may be part of it. A move to deeper water Bayside always  says.
They spend most of the year at 300 fow or so,where I would guess it's probably as quiet as   a tomb the majority  of the time. I like to think that they get seasick with the six foot swell pressure waves hitting the lateral line.
Especially off in a cross swell.

I'd love to go but I'm not sure how the conditions will be.  My first outing in bad conditions was no fun so I'm waiting for better.  Any ideas about when these conditions will improve/

Just talked to Scallen and the morning looks like a go. I'll be at the Harbor at day break for early launch then probably back in Harbor by noon.

The weather was beautiful. Had two squid bit in half right between the hooks, how that happened is beyond me. Great paddle tried drop shoting in the bullwhip. Brought up two rockies but to short to keep. Got some great solitude ;) Was out by the mile buoy with the fleet and really didn't see anyone hook up. Was off the water before noon. Thanks Frank
