My wife and I are heading to Monterey for our first ocean experience except for a guided trip last year that started this whole deal...Since then I have purchased two Hobie kayaks and have them rigged up pretty well for safety and fishing.  We have been out on the local lakes around Chico and the Sacramento and American River for Strippers.  We are still very much newbies and would welcome any info that might help us on our first voyage from launch points, fishing tips to more safety advise.  We would also welcome anyone who might be interested in joining us.  Thanks in advance for your advise/ recommendations!!!
