Hey guys.

My wife and I both share a birthday in June and we are taking a three day weekend to get out and enjoy some time away. Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice place to stay?
Here is what we are looking for.
Coastal, cabin or inn or even a yurt. Somewhere that does not break the bank, and hopefully somewhere with good paddling/ fishing.

Its a tall order but I figured if anyone knew of a spot it would be you guys.

Thanks in advance.

I can't recommend anything coastal, but GF and I have stayed in Kings Canyon NP, and while accomadations were not that special the views were priceless.

My longtime GF and I really loved the Ft Ross lodge say 7-8 years ago, then there were some questionable reviews but we went back anyhow and found the only negative was that the rooms could have been a bit cleaner, (OK by me but the GF noticed).

Current reviews seem positive with new managers and I still recommend it.

Also for paddling the Albion and Big rivers up in Mendo are great for a serene paddle experience, and there's a ton of places up there, Little River Inn isn't cheap but we loved the place a few years ago.

In Mendo, http://www.timbercoveinn.com/  (although is this MLPA'd now?  IDK  :smt011)

In Big Sur, http://www.lucialodge.com/.

Both are fairly isolated, not too expensive, and perched atop seaside cliffs near primo fishing grounds.  You are sure to git sum at either place.  And you might even catch a fish lol.

Do you guys like lighthouses?  Do you want to sleep in a lightkeeper's house with the surf crashing in front and back of the house?

A different lighthouse near Mendocino that also has a lightkeeper's house you can stay in:

Manchester Beach KOA has cabins and cottages:

Want to stay in a house on a 200' bluff above a beach?  There is a kick a$$ hot tub right on the bluff too with views to die for.  (I don't recommend this place if your little guy is going unless you watch him like a hawk).  PM me if you want the info for this one.

beach access on the North coast are few and far between.
You may have a tough time finding something on short notice, especially in the summer.
