Started loading up my gear at 0630. Halfway thru it starts sprinkling, no prob! Got to Mike's bait at 0705, he wasn't open... Waited until 0720 and decided I wasn't ready to give up yet. So I hop on the freeway and headed towards Berkeley. Picked up some bait at K Dock and got to ARW around 8 ish. My plan was to paddle out to the end of the wall and let the tide drift me back in. Paddled for 45 minutes and kept noticing that I wasnt making much forward progress. Tried to make the best of the situation so I began to fish but conditions were terrible, 15 mph winds coming in from the west, sprinkles turned to heavy shower, and to make matters worse I had to fight the huge incoming tide to get out to where I wanted. After battling relentless wind chop I decided conditions just weren't worth my time. GG-- Failed. Wasn't a very happy camper coming back in :smt011

I went with just a small bucket and aerator. Had about half a dozen casualties before i hit the water. None died after i was able to change water. I think bait guy gave me around 2 doZen and asked for $5.

I think there maybe a lot of people in K doc on Sunday around 6 -6:30 AM, $5.00 for 2 dozen anchovies sound fair. you said that they stay alive after you changed the water, you were only fishing for about 45 min, I wonder how the bait would do on Sunday for 5 to 6 hrs in a bucket with just an aerator and a bucket / cooler.
Great info, I hope they open the Golden Gate and let all the halibuts in the bay for this weekend so we can catch some fish.

Daviator,   Are you referring to Butts on bicycles?  Only at ARW!

I did it last year drifting paradise for 4 hours, no casualties once i got in the water there either. the less you carry the better your chances too.
