It sounds like the Bodega salmon is red hot right now. Anybody know how far off-shore they are? Is anyone interested in possibly carpooling up there and giving it a shot?

Most of the reports on coastside have the good bite just inside the weather bouy  (38º 13.5' N 123º 19' W) which is about 12 miles off shore.

Here's a map for perspective...

I'm keeping my eyes on the coastside board, as well as the birds and boats (I work at the Bodega Marine Lab).  I'll be sure to post when it looks like the fish are finally in close.   One thing to do is to search for "Carmet" on the coastside board.  When they start reporting fish off Carmet, you know that they are within range of the kayak.
