SAN PABLO RESERVOIR FISH REPORT
May 21,2012
BOAT LAUNCH OPEN 7 DAY’S A WEEK AND INSPECTOR ON SITE
The San Pablo Reservoir  hours are 6:00am to 7:30pm with all boaters needing to be off the water by 6:30pm.The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week  and snacks and drinks are available aswell as bait and tackle. Our last Trout plant of 1200 lbs. was performed on Friday  May  18,2012.The Trout bite has been excellent and there have been a lot of good looking Trout being caught this week. The water temperature is about  65 degrees. People  trolling are still having the most  luck using Rapalas like the broken back Fire Tiger and Shad lures aswell as Kastmasters. Berkley Power bait colors such as Rainbow,Chartreuse, Garlic  and Corn Yellow aswell as Spring Green remain the top choice of bait aswell as the Berkley Mice Tails while also using the Power bait Trout Dip in Garlic or Roe scents.PowerEggs and  Night Crawlers have also been working well.
TROUT
Colin Molakides of Pinole caught 4 Trout with the largest weighing in at 5lbs. using PowerWorms at Oaks Point on 5-15-2012
Jeff Gillman of El Sobrante caught a 4.5lb. Trout at the Main Recreation Area on 5-15-2012
Amin Sier caught a 6lb. Trout using Rainbow PowerBait and Nightcrawlers in Scow Canyon on 5-16-2012
Larry caught an 8lb. Trout  using Cheese PowerBait at the Main Recreation Area  on 5-17-2012
Herbert Kameda of San Jose caught a 7lb. Trout using PowerBait at Sobrante Point on 5-17-2012
Leo Chavez of Richmond caught a 12lb. Trout using Nightcrawlers at the Dam on 5-19-2012
Tomathias Hodges of Richmond caught a 9lb. Trout on 5-19-2012
